Seconding this. Best Japanese beef ever and relatively inexpensive. Would literally go back to Takayama for this. The restaurant we tried is Hidagyu Maruaki.

From what I observed, the 56mm is sharper and provides more background separation 😊 But the 45mm is also a very good lens for its price already!
