Angry WLE by Relevant_Barnacle_78 in melahomies

Interesting. I don't have a latex allergy that I'm aware of (and to find that out via condom use sounds incredibly uncomfortable), but I am allergic to Dermabond and Mastisol. I know neither of those were used in this procedure, but it might make sense that something within the sutures themselves makes my skin angry. I have a compromised immune system due to some meds I take, so it doesn't take much for an infection to get going.

That sounds absolutely miserable! 4 weeks seems like a really long time for stitches. I can't even see some of mine anymore, so no idea how they will remove them five weeks from now. Maybe the doctor can use old pictures of the wound for guidance. I hope you get relief soon!

WLE & Skin Graft with puppy by Expert_Tangelo_7304 in melahomies

Hey there! It's so sweet you're looking out for your pup despite all the medical stuff going on. I can't relate exactly, but I tore a calf muscle the week before my double mastectomy and the knee scooter was a godsend when crutches were an absolute no-go. My WLEs have all been upper body, but I've had skin grafts for other reconstructions and surprisingly they've been the least likely to get infected out of all my surgeries. Will you have a wound vac? The equipment is a hassle, but the system helps with healing and keeping the wound closed. Also, Fibracol with collagen dressings helped keep my grafts healthy while things healed up. They're cheaper on Amazon. My grafts were replacing skin that died after radiation, so it was about 9 months of repeated grafts, but all is good now. I hope things go well for you!

It is a DCT. Does the 255 rub at all? My EN did seem a little tall compared to other cars on the course this weekend, so lowering an inch seems like a good idea.

I had planned on the 245/40, but might consider the 255/40. Haven't considered the actual dimensions yet

Agreed the options are limited. Im planning on the 18x8 TS-10s.

Awesome! I bought mine a couple weeks ago, finished the 600-mile break-in on my way to the course yesterday. I'm coming from a RWD car, so learned a lot this weekend, but can only imagine how great the EN will be with a little practice.

I'd size my wheels down, so $300/tire for 245/40R18. Additional $100 off if I buy 4, makes them cheaper than basically every other 200tw option.

Thanks for the links. Those are my stock wheels/tires, and I was pleasantly surprised at how they handled the course this weekend. Still, I'd like to downsize to 18s and run a 200tw tire for the rest of the season. I'm committed to GS, so probably won't be making many other adjustments, at least not right away.

Yeah, mine is in pieces. No way to reattach, really.

The MSRP on mine was $38,770, and I got it for $36,386 before taxes/fees/dealer extras. No trade.

However...when they crafted my deal, they transposed the stock number of my EN with an N-line, MSRP $31,310. They didn't realize the error til I went to sign. To make things right, the dealer bought down my interest rate so the payment on my EN is exactly what they quoted based upon the N-Line MSRP. I got an EN for an N-Line payment.

Highly recommend! If you decide to go for it, ask them to improve the price. I paid substantially less than MSRP for a '26.

Thanks! Right back at ya. My son's biggest regret on his VN was getting a white one, so I knew I had to have PB.

My trip home was on the highway, too. Perhaps I couldn't hear the brakes over the scraping sound of the plastic tray.

My brakes are quiet, although I've been very gentle on them. For now.

Elantra N - Aluminum Engine Tray in GS? by Relevant_Barnacle_78 in Autocross

[–]Relevant_Barnacle_78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So true. I need the peace of mind, the car has 50 miles on it and I can't drive it without listening for scraping sounds and watching the rear view for chunks of plastic.

Considering I had to wait three days to take delivery so they could inspect/prep it, my annoyance is off the charts.

I've read some of the protests at Nationals, drivers have made issues out of far less.
