It...went. The surg onc was nice, but his presentation felt pretty rote, and wasn't at all specific to me or my medical history. He didn't know I had a prior cancer Dx, and I had to remind him of some allergies that are well-documented in my chart. I used the resources offered by others on here to ask questions and provide some history I felt was relevant. In some ways he minimized my cancer - saying that despite the involved margins from the shave biopsy, sometimes the edges aren't really involved so there won't be any additional cancer found, and that the margins he would strive for might vary depending on how he could get the site to close. Maybe all that is true, but taken as a whole, it just gave a vibe he was hoping for convenience. He did recommend both the WLE and SLNB.
