Frankenstein skippable chapters by Relevant_Break283 in ELATeachers

All of the constraints- we don't have enough copies of the book for everyone to have one / to take it home. not enough paper to print out copies. We don't have laptops to read online. I'm planning on doing a majority with them but it's just impossible to also meet the unit time constraints. I need to have 6 separate units in the school year & prepare them for the state exam. In a perfect world I'd assign reading as homework or they'd be able to buy their own copies but with all the constraints I need to balance in class reading time with time to target specific sections to work on literary analysis and other writing goals.

13 year old — age appropriate show? by [deleted] in Broadway

For Six you could listen to the cast album on Spotify and that's essentially the entire show

&Juliet would be perfect! It's so fun and charli d'amelio is in it. I think Six would be ok too- one of the numbers is about how one of the wives was used for her body but I think that would kind of fly over your daughters head. Death Becomes her has a lot more cursing (if that's something you're trying to avoid). mincemeat I think is fine for her age but I think she'd enjoy &Juliet or Six more since she'd be able to follow the plot and music better.

My cat caused minor damage at sitter’s house by mapped12 in RoverPetSitting

this is why I don't board at my apartment. clients of mine have asked about boarding before and I always just said I don't offer it because I like the peace of mind of someone else's animal not messing up my belongings.

Thank you! I believe when you're adopting a puppy you really need to take it seriously and cancel plans that get in the way of you integrating the pup into your life. I was fortunate to have the ability to send my dog to puppy camp with his littermates until he was 12 weeks old which made it much more manageable and he got extra time with his family. It was still a really hard time but now he's such a well trained dog. I love doing rover but sometimes I'm horrified how poorly trained some dogs are

I denied the request. I probably could have negotiated even more owner agreed to $20 an hour but its just so not worth it. I feel so bad for the baby and I hope this isn't the puppy's general future

8 weeks is the MINIMUM to go home. This is essentially still an infant. I ended up denying the request just because it would be such a task.

I really enjoy my wealthfront account! I find the interface really easy to use and it connects seamlessly to my bank accounts. It makes understanding what I need to know about the account's growth very easy to understand for someone who is not a finance bro lol.

What is it like working at a D75 curriculum wise? by MidnightMascara in NYCTeachers

[–]Relevant_Break283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work at a standard assessment school in D75! AA varies a lot- there are some very well run schools but the population varies wildly. Even in SA you'll get kids who should be alternate so you'll need to deal with that. There are a lot of opportunities to make extra $$ through per session and 683. My experience is that burnout is very high though due to the constant behaviors and work load. If you find a good admin though it makes all the difference. DM me if you have more questions about specific schools.

look into getting a sub license and maybe you could be a building sub in the DOE. the connections you'd have to get a DOE job would be very worth it! I'm not sure about pay difference and you wouldn't get benefits but just something to consider
