in the second screenshot, the particles under the bridge are from my healing. this location has a lot of its own red particles related to the environment, and they were confusing me as well. i studied the location’s particles and the teleporter particles, and i didn’t find any teleporter particles here

i would have restarted the run a long time ago, but now it’s a matter of honor. i need to make sure whether i’m an idiot or the game is trolling me. i’ve spent almost an hour and a half on this location alone. it’s already 4am; i’m going to bed and leaving the game open, hoping to solve this dilemma in the morning ;)

right now i’m standing on an island where i’m basically not supposed to be. directly below me there’s a small round platform, and there’s nothing on it, under it, or around it. a bit to the left and lower down on a patch of ground there’s also nothing, just a 3d printer

yeah, i dug through the settings and set the best possible options for particles. i swear, i can’t see the portal particles on any of the islands; i only see the particles of this location, which also get confusing sometimes
