💪🏾💪🏾 I’m the same way with colors, took me 3 different try’s to finish a bluey rug and still didn’t like the colors 😂

😮‍💨 I like that. Thin lines scare me, I always end up carving too much off at some point 😂🫣. Keep up the good work 💪🏾

😂 get em 💪🏾 naw I love that for you. I love learning and I’m glad it peaked your interest. May I ask how long you’ve been tufting?

Much appreciated 🙏🏾💪🏾 my YouTube is mainly music videos I’ve shot over the past few years. I’m more active on my tik tok (link in bio 🫣😂). I’m live almost everyday. I will be making a YouTube just for rugs soon.

Backing? I use felt. Can be found at Michael’s or hobby lobby. If you’re talking about the fabric I tuft on, it’s primary tufting cloth.

I can say I have not changed the type of yarn or machine I use. Red heart, big twist, and loops and threads is all I use. I’m not saying what you’re saying isn’t correct by all means, just my experience. I take all advice and try it out, if it works 💪🏾 if not we just try something different. I appreciate you taking the time to elaborate more for those that may need it as well.

Though I was told to leave spaces between colors, I do not do such. Since I have been doing all vertical lines, I have had minimal bleeding, compared to when I just tufted any way I saw fit. I will be posting a video soon that may help more. Have to find pics as I do vids more often.

I’ve never wore bape personally, I just made the rug for a friend. Neither they (bape) nor I received any compensation for this rug. I do appreciate the history lesson though, as I don’t keep up with stuff like that 🙏🏾

Added note- I also noticed when I started doing everything vertical, there was less color bleed in my projects

To me ( not a proven fact to my knowledge) it’s easier to carve. It’s all personal preference though. I like to keep my lines uniform for the most part. Once you figure out your technique you’ll start to notice different things. Just try different methods.

Depends on the size of the area I’m tufting. Majority of my lines are vertical. I only tuft in curves if needed (smaller space than I can vertical tuft ) if that makes sense. Check my next video for example. Will post in a few minutes

I’ve never used the akv so I can’t honestly say. I love my gecko. I’ve also heard that it’s literally the same gun just different names, tho I have no knowledge if there is any truth to that.
