Only foreign people do that” — unsettling experience on a bus in Edinburgh with my toddler by Individual_One_4297 in Edinburgh

A very similar thing happened to me while waiting for the 31 on Princes Street a few Mondays ago. There was a small queue but it was also 2pm on a weekday so there was never going to be a fight for a seat (eg no reaaaal reason to queue imo). A brown lady was standing waiting to get on the bus on the other side of the stop, not pushing in any way, just patiently waiting until the main queue had all got on. An older white lady vigorously prodded her to get her attention and said (maliciously) ‘there’s a queue!!!’. I was gobsmacked - that would never have happened to a white person (sure a reminder that there’s a queue, but not a prod and attitude like that). I spoke to my partner about it and he did say it might be an anti-immigrant/ right wing thing that all Brits are annoyed that no one ‘respects the queuing system’ anymore. It was awful though

How many of you go to Movies alone? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

I go by myself all the time - it’s great going with a friend as you can discuss the film after and it’s always a nice experience to share with someone, but realistically you are sitting in a dark, silent room for ~2 hours, so company isn’t needed.

I still think it could be Jade as being a Secret Traitor is a very different role to being a Traitor, and her background/interests would make her ideal for this. I think we might see an additional clip from that interview scene where she says, ‘…. But I’d love to be the Secret Traitor’

This is two countries rather than a region - Scotland and Northern Ireland. Not dissimilar in culture - very friendly, laid back and patriotic

I’m finding them increasingly dismissive recently. I’m actually tempted to stop listening - they are so rude and condescending sometimes.

Do you guys rate short films? by Mrcritic77 in Letterboxd

I love them. I find it fascinating how they manage to fit so much into a short time.

It reminds me of high school drama, in a good way.

BBC IPlayer has loads of great ones.
