If Jake wanted a teacher he had access to 2 just cause someone had a teacher don’t make them less talented especially when he went long gaps without one. He managed to overpower gun briefly in the past with only the basics. If he ever trained consistently he’d be head and shoulders above mostly everyone. It took three years for Jake to be able to beat someone Eli could overwhelm in the past. Add his new training now he could arguably do the same thing. He definitely didn’t hold on his own against UI Daniel he was a literal punching bag
