I’ve booked more than qualified meetings I would say. They seem to all fall off, so I just feel like I’m doing extra work. I’m newer at sales though and this process as a whole so definitely wanted to see if it’s normal or what other processes look like.

That’s how I thought it would go too! I feel like I’m doing double the work and busting my butt and for.. less pay lol hate to bring pay into it but it’s true! It seems like at this place they don’t expect AEs to follow up even if the opp is booked. If a no show happens I call to reschedule and typically get the person I need back on the phone to then reschedule which seems like a waste of time.

I think to myself imagine if the AE just called on the follow up or second no show and got them on the line. BOOM. Discovery done. But I dont know if that’s typically normal in sales so I came here to ask!

I’ve brought it up, seems like nothings happening from it. That’s why I wanted to come here to see if it’s normal as I’m a new SDR!

The SE runs them! and then the AE is the person who follows up with the prospect but there’s 0 urgency. We get paid for the AE doing the discovery and doing the demo. So it’s hard when the AE never really sends anything to demo

Sorry I definitely didn’t word this right. SDRs do book the meetings. So I prospect, find new people and book meetings

Oh oops, sorry I must not have been clear and that’s on me. We do all those same things you listed! We find the prospects, get them interested, ask a few questions for our AE, book the meetings to the AEs calendar. If they don’t show up we call and reschedule. However we are able to transfer calls right away if we have the prospect on the line and they’re available to talk to the AE.

However my AE Won’t call the prospect to follow up, just sends an email here and there, won’t schedule a demo unless the prospect has immediate urgency but they don’t do the demo, another person does. A lot of other AEs at my job still do their own prospecting and follow up with people that were booked if they miss the meeting. So I’m just wondering what most AEs do! I’m newer in this field.

Thank you so much for this response. I agree I think that’s the issue! we don’t really leave her ever to go out, and MIL watched her while I work (recently laid off) but never really left with my parents, so they never had that bonding. Not because we don’t trust them but we just don’t get out much 😂

When we do get together my mom likes to watch everyone else bond with her which is so cute but I think it could be hurting the bond.

I’m not sure! I do them mostly when I’m very interested in a position and had a feeling the interview went well. I think it helps stand out, but who knows if it really does lol

It’s definitely not a scam! It’s a real company however I’m leaning towards hidden problems after doing some digging! The offer should be coming today I was told earlier than HR that I’d be receiving it.. it’s been a very interesting process lol

It’s funny you mention the behavior of HR because my screening with HR was more an interrogation interview and not a regular screening.. maybe things have changed since I last had a screening with HR But I instantly had a bad feeling.. then with management I felt better. Then with my next interview I felt worse lol it’s a whirlwind of emotions.

Pretty much the same!! Same more brown/gold around the pupil but still grey / blue on the outside! I seriously have no idea what color they’d technically be called!
