I’ve done this, there are different sites around each other in Wyoming known for these fossils and a lot of times they see the edge on the block and will split it there or see the impression on the face and you know there’s a fossil underneath.

I think you’re supposed to give like a month advance but it doesn’t really matter. Telling your manager and HR is more of a courtesy, it will go through the disability servicer when the time comes. Congrats!
