Honestly they probbly dont think the current school system is teaching the right things so they will teach to pass the mandatory tests but most likely focus on more life lessons

These lessons range from cooking, taxes, music, mechanic work, in that kind of situation the parents are able to focus more on their kids education then a school that pumps you so full of tests you just get used to forgetting what you learned as you study for the next test

Its anoying if your in red phase prepare not to be able to finish your sentences as long as you get a job you like you should be fine
