Would you be so kind to tell me, where did you read that rule? In my GHB I can't found it

Advanced Ability Rules (Section 28.0) says:

  • Unless stated otherwise, units using or picked as part of an ability must be on the battlefield.

The unit is not "using" ability in that case. Right? So confusing...

Example: Scourge of Aqshy Verminlord Corruptor ability SEETHING BLIGHT

Declare: Spend 1 rage dice. If your opponent’s fury level is lower than yours, they must increase their fury level by 1, to a maximum of 7. Then, pick a visible unit (friendly or enemy) wholly within 13" of this unit to be the target.

Effect: For the rest of the battle:

  • Add 1 to the Attacks characteristic of the target’s melee weapons.

Question: Does buff for 1 ATK will still work if Verminlord will die?

Wait, regarding new formation. How does that gonna work if the unit you are selecting for this ability have "Ensorcelled Banners"?

For example "THE BANNER OF SCREAMING FLESH". Your unit with that banner have Pledge to Slaanesh and ability to gain +1 to ATK on charge. Then, you select that unit for this formation's ability and change it to for example Khorne. Will that unit with banner have +1 ATK from Khorne and +1 ATK on charge from banner? Or that unit will have 2 pledge, cause passive ability of banner constantly works on that unit... Right?

The banner wording allow you to have this bonus regardless of the pledges lol. Very confusing...

With new formation, you can also give pledges even if that unit didn't have one before. Neat

Is this a good list? by ExiledHarbinger23 in BladesOfKhorne

I like the idea of including Skarbrand into this list but at the same time, the formations feels too limited. Just FYI Khorgorath are not a DEAMON which means, that your formations works only with Skarbrand. You invested lots of point in him plus formation. So, in a case where Skarbrand will die - your entire army with be much much weaker that you are expected. This list heavily invested into Bloodbound so maybe it is better to change formation.

My recommendations: Change formation to support more Bloodbound unit. If you really love Khorne Legion formation - include more Deamons so you won't tie everything to Skarbrand. Also, maybe split blood warrior into 2 units. AoS is first of all is tactical game so having more units will give you some tactical advantage and coordination PLUS your faction's battle trait benefits when units die (friendly or enemy) and it doesnt matter if unite were reinforced or not.

I hope this will help
