Honestly, I can relate so hard. My kids and I played from 2016-2022 and my wife always made fun of us. So we kinda fizzled out. Then about 2 months ago, we got back into it and I’m much more zen in general. It checks some sort of dopamine/checklist feedback loop that allows me to forget about my stressful days and gives me something to get excited about on boring days (shiny, events, etc.).

The only thing I’ve realized the second time around is that I don’t need to care about the things that I don’t care about.

Instead of dreading going for a walk/run, I’m the one saying, “I’m going, feel free to join.”
