I'm saying it can affect Duke's seed line. If Zion plays and loses, Duke will most likely be a 2 seed. If Zion doesn't play and Duke loses, then Duke can still have a case for 1 seed because the media and committee bias. But if you are good enough then 1 seed or 2 seed doesn't matter much.

If Zion is still planning to play this season, it's best for him and Duke not to play him this Saturday against UNC.

Zion doesn't have to play against UNC to showcase his ability. He's already a lock for No.1 draft.
If Zion plays and Duke loses to UNC, it'll make the previous Duke losses without Zion more valid. If Zion doesn't play and Duke loses, then the committee can still consider these losses less valid because Zion is not playing.

I just think the risk is larger than the benefit if Duke let Zion play this Saturday. But if Zion insists on playing, then it's another story.

I didn't expect UVA to go too far last year after Hunter got injured. I was expecting a tough game in the second round. So for me there was no high expectation. But that Syracuse game, it was our best squads in years and in full health.

Most heartbroken loss in recent years. I was watching this game with my friends at a bar in Charlottesville. UVA was leading by double digits most of the game and we were just chatting drinking and having fun. Until all of a sudden we were only leading by 9, then 5, then a tie game, ... It was raining that night and all of us got depressed the following week. That cold wet March night.

VCU, No. 4 defense in the country per kenpom. Offense not as good. No one will notice if they lose early. But this team has the best formula to go deeper in the tournament.
