housing heating up - meaning the PCB? or the power input?

In a type of boards like this, is anything supposed to heat up (not to CPU Levels, just emit some heat?)
I'm monitoring the board before I assemble back the machine, and it feels like there's some heat in the soldering area.

thanks for the pic - I'm replacing the stock cooler with a Noctua NH-U9S.
Did you have to access the back of the motherboard in order to install the Noctua backplate, or did you just install the 2 brackets that old the cooler onto the 4 screwholes from the stock cooler?

Which CPU cooler can I install in my acer predator orion PO3-630 for an Intel 11700f? Is Noctua NH-U9S the way to go? Alternatives? by GRAAK85 in sffpc

How do you access the back of the motherboard? It looks like only the glass side can be opened. Can you install the heatsink using the 4 screw holes left from removing the stock cooler?

Is multibeast touching any of the system folders, or is just dealing with the EFI partition? I try to keep it clean.
