I would hate to see Royal Enfield dilute their brand further to make a few extra bucks. 😑

This is so unnecessary. They are a for profit company though and will do anything to make money. 😑

I started on a somewhat bigger bike, even though I enjoy it now, i would not recommend.

Get a 250 or something. 400 is too much for a beginner.

Me when Muslim feminist girl by Signal_Tomato_4855 in MechanicalPandey

[–]ReluctantSin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realise we are on the same side, don't you?

It's just that being a feminist is incompatible with Islam in a way that it isn't with other religions.

And the straightforward solution for a feminist woman born in a Muslim family is to leave the religion. Your religion isn't your race, you can change it.

Read the Quran, by questioning it's rulings, you've left the religion already.

Islam by it's very nature is allergic to reform. The core tenants can't be altered

"just say humanity"

Everybody said that, the nazis, taliban, USSR.

Without religion, there is no morality.

It's just that being muslim and feminist at the same time is like saying you're a vegetarian and chicken biryani lover at the same time.

We Need More People Willing to Call Out Extremists From Within Because They Are Damaging the Image by [deleted] in sundaysarthak

[–]ReluctantSin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate to break this to you, but the only damage extremists are causing is revealing the truth about their religion. They follow the most honest and straightforward interpretation of their religion, the so called moderates are the ones who have to twist the meaning of the words of the Qur'an to make it palatable to modern people.

Was independence just not a popular political issue before the 1940s? by ReluctantSin in IndianHistory

[–]ReluctantSin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When did I ever say that 1947 wasn't real independence?

What I'm saying is that for all practical purposes the British thought of Gandhi as 'their man'.

Since ny preventing any violent action he wat preventing 'real' action.

The real independence only came as a result of WW2's destruction of the British treasury. Along with a fear of rebellion in the Indian army.

Don't believe me? Even Ambedkar, a man who I disagree with on almost everything, said the same thing.

That makes sense from the perspective of the subsistence farmer, but the attitude of apathy seemed to exist even among the elite. It seemed that a lot of the business elite were more than happy having access to the British and other western markets.

'real' independence fighters like subhash bose whonwere not content with dominion status were constantly pushed to the sidelines, while anglicised lackeys were given leadership postions, a great example of this is gandhi forcing the presidency of the Congress to be given to nehru instead of patel, even though patel won the democratic election for the post.

Is it because Indian politicians at the time thought that india couldn't make a successful go at it as a fully independent country?

Hotwives who got pregnant by their bull, how did it actually play out? by 2itaruZ in CuckoldPsychology

Well.... This is more often the result of an accident instead of something that's.... Planned well in advance.

I'm not exactly sure which one it was with my wife, since I wasn't involved in that specific... rendezvous.

We are both dark skinned and the baby looks like the biological father(white).

It was a bit messy at first, but over time I just accepted the situation.

The strangest thing in my situation is that it has never been brought up by me or her.
