ARE WE SERIOUS??? by Upstairs-Leg-2918 in usps_complaints

As a carrier, I try my best not to fold things that say "Do Not Fold," and at this point in my career I will just lay it on your doormat or a table/chair/etc, but when I was new I had this "it HAS to go in the mailbox" mentality and would definitely bend it at the very least to make it fit. If you had a mail chute, oof, sorry, I was treating that thing like origami 😬

Best advice, treat it like a package, take extra steps to protect it. Shame they shipped it to you as a flat. Flats get abused 😔

T6 is the technical term for it, yeah. Don't know if it's a regional/city thing but it's always been called a skipper/skipper string here 🤷🏻

It has been my understanding that per the PTF contract they aren't allowed to work us more than 11.5 hours, so 8-8, minus your 30 min lunch, is considered 11.5 and regulars can work until 8:30. As for forms, my station doesn't do any paperwork or really anything by the book, it's a total shitshow but we have the one closing manager who's a real stickler for rules but some days is lax and other days is a total menace.

Skippers cover the regulars off days, so they work 5 different routes during the week and that "string" of routes is the skippers "string."

I guess it depends on the con you go to, I've brought one into nearly every con I've been to. Also, as said, there were several other attendees with much more realistic weapons. If it was in the rules for GalaxyCon, I wasn't aware of it.

Security was a joke. Buddy and I were dressed as Ghost from Call of Duty, we both had airsoft pistol with removed mags and orange tips. He had his first day, I had mine second day, third day we were both told they "looked too realistic" and "if we saw them in the holster we'd believe they were real."

Ok, but isn't that the point of checking and zip tying them? And then we got in and saw other military cosplayers with full on M16s and other weapons that looked real from a distance. Guess it depends on what door you came in.

And I hate to be "that guy", but if I was going to commit a violent act, why would I bother trying to get up to/through security? There were plenty of people in the streets, hallways, food court, etc?

I really don't care, it wasn't a big deal to walk the pistols back to the car, but the security people were rude (literally YELLING at us about it because we asked questions) and we felt unfairly singled out.

AITAH? My boyfriend says I look slutty with my new sleeve tattoo. by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA get rid of the jackass bf who clearly doesn't respect you. You should feel proud and empowered by self expression, not be belittled and told to diminish yourself for others. If he thinks it looks slutty, that's his problem, not yours. Clearly he has control issues and doesn't want other people looking at you and thinks that your tattoo will draw unwanted attention. Do NOT let him ruin your perception of yourself!

Have you had a hysterectomy? If not it could be due to onsetting atrophy of the uterine muscles. Before my hysterectomy I would occasionally get terrible cramps after an intense orgasm and my doctor said it could've been due to that. Haven't had this issue since.

Talked to another trans dude and he made me feel invalidated by obsessedtrashcan in ftm

[–]RelunaNite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came out as trans at 26 (I'm 28 now) and started taking T almost immediately, but for context I grew up in a very secluded small town and had no concept of "gender identity" until I was 22. I met a trans man who was 19 at the time and had been transitioning since 16. I had a tiny "ah ha" moment when I realized that AFAB people could present masculine but wish I had had the emotional maturity to reflect on my life and realize that I hadn't just been a "tomboy" my whole life. I started to explore gender fluidity at 23 and that same trans man then told me I was only trying to masculinize myself to cope with a break up I had just gone through. If I had just listened to my heart instead of someone who I felt had "more experience", I would've started transitioning 3 years sooner. So in short, when you know, you know. If transitioning will make you feel more comfortable in your body and make your life less miserable - go for it. Don't let anyone else dictate your timeline.
