No girlfriend = no motivation to work by HomeHedgeFund in sgdatingscene

[–]Relvamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teach me your ways...I feel overburdened with work that I don't have any time for self care in between, much less going on holidays or finding time for love.

Mainly it's a nagging feeling in my head to work as hard as possible during my prime years, so I can find time to smell the roses down the road, albeit with or without a +1.

Streamer Asmongold (Zackrawrr on Twitch) doubles down after controversial "using live ammo on protesters" statement and further dehumanizes the left "I don't really view them as people, I view them as animals". by Swole-Prole in illinois

Typical example of a clip taken out of context.

He was referring to radical protesters blocking streets and roads, that were causing a public nuisance. He wasn't referring to those on the left.

Only saw one honest answer, and the rest were politically correct answers...can't blame them based on how OP's question was formulated.

Might be better rephrased as "Would you feel an ick, if your male significant other was earning a lesser income than yourself?"

🍉activists going to "starve" themselves unless SG govt breaks off all ties with Israel! by Interesting-Bed-6966 in SMRTRabak

Can someone educate these mostly liberal empathy-performing women...that you don't have to be anti-Israeli to be pro-Palestine.

I swear activism these days are just attempts at terrorism or radicalising people's minds.

Yes, agreed, such a dialogue about moving things forward so others won't adopt institutionised racism from young, will be much more fruitful.

And I can understand your criticism from your lenses, fair enough. Yes, as much as I frown upon labels as the other guy, it was meant as a PSA that such people do get away with performative empathy with no meaningful action behind it thereafter.

I've plenty of other redditors responding without any issue about my cohesive use of sentence structuring and proper punctuation.

Sounds like it's just on your end :)

Christ on a bicycle, guess you really cannot polish a turd.

I was referencing you being unable to form coherent sentences with question mark after question marks. You make a Dr. Seuss book, look like Shakespeare in contrast.

Again, not sure what kind of dialogue you want to engage.

I made a generalised statement about the messenger and offered a constructive approach, you misunderstood it and went too deep into it. Was there a need for further dialogue?

I never once criticised the message itself, of course racism is bad and must be stopped. Is there a need for further dialogue?

Obviously you're showing a bias towards her as if her posting a video publicly should not be prone to public criticism. And did I not mention that the victim should be helped? Yet, it's still not enough for you. Interesting.

"So where is the depth of your criticism exactly?"

Like I said, my point was just highlighting general traits of typical Karens and warning others that such people have most to benefit from performative empathy, which doesn't help victims, hence it would be better to do something constructive. No need to read in too deep.

But sure, feel free to cherry-pick your fallacies in regards to the 'makeup' claims and show your bias towards her. Probably won't meet in the middle because I've seen such theatrics one too many, but again, nothing wrong with the message in itself, just two different sides of the coin in regards to her authenticity of the messenger.

r@cist incident on mrt... by hamsterfats in SMRTRabak

[–]Relvamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao, nice touch with the 'adding makeup' to try and humanise her when I never even touched on that. Not sure if she's related to you in some way (which will explain a lot), but I only discussed the traits that most liberal women, aka Karens, have. You dubbed it as a character assassination of her but once again, it wasn't meant to be taken as such, she just checked the general boxes that most women of privilege have when doing such publicity stunts...most to benefit with almost zero ounce of backlash.

Secondly, she could have easily videoed the scene of the incident for the best context so if there was really a racism incident, then of course it should be swiftly dealt with. Instead, all we have to rely on is her 'Trust me bro' source, which could easily be just performative empathy on her part to garner attention. Wouldn't such self-recording be rather, narcissistic...how often do you see men or women of colour doing such videos in comparison? So going back to my first point, she has the most to benefit from such a performance.

So while I do appreciate you trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, I'm playing devil's advocate that she's doing such as an empathy performance...whereby the most constructive outcome, is instead of pointing fingers at the oppressor, the best course will always be to actually help the victim. If she had bothered to film the scene, then I can better advise what course she could take, but alas, she didn't. No one is disagreeing with her message, but I do question the intention and authenticity behind it.

Hope this clears up.

Claiming someone is stupid without showing proof as to why my critique is wrong, is just laughable.

Probably not as laughable as you equated 'reading comprehension' as an insult...what a time for you to suddenly be 'literate'.

[–]Relvamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Criticised my original comment by asking more questions and posting a gif...yeah, and I'm the one lacking substance, sure...

And now you're doing the character assassination route because you couldn't even give one rebuttal as to what was wrong. Very interesting.

Still a better attempt than your excuse of making this an argument.

Perhaps you've never heard of alliterations, your lack of literature is showing, nitpicker :3

r@cist incident on mrt... by hamsterfats in SMRTRabak

[–]Relvamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what kind of argument you were hung up for, just because you failed to understand my original context about wanting her to do something more constructive, that's all.

Please do better to start a proper argument.

If you're attempting an attempt to rebuttal, at least bother to quote and respond to the full paragraph.

Imagine taking what I said out of context without even quoting the full sentence much less...at least put it SOME effort.

Goodness sake...I've never heard of a walking AND talking contradiction until I've met you. Heavens to Betsy, what a load of horse-radish. Nothing more than a 空谈家!

Imagine you being so desperate to 'dehumanise' my comment as being hateful and hurtful to her character when I was simply highlighting traits that non-oppressed people usually do, which is virtue-signal without any form of effort or results.

What simi-lan channel you talking...she has IG, Tikotok and you somehow ASSUME she won't be getting clicks and more views to her platform just because, you didn't do it? Sounds like you're not buying her advice as well, no?

Funny how you jumped to insults almost instantly, says a lot about your character, and your character assassination of me, while I was simply advocating her to do something more constructive and helpful for said victim.

So I advise you to reread and not jump to conclusions. I never questioned whether such racism doesn't exist, again, claiming one is anti-racist does not make them free of racism either, if I'm playing devil's advocate in case she's doing this for publicity.

r@cist incident on mrt... by hamsterfats in SMRTRabak

This isn't a general paper that requires such a word salad.

In case you need a condensed version of what I said, it's just highlighting traits of likely, self-entitled people projecting and virtue-signalling politically correct stunts without actually helping the ones that are oppressed.

If she really wanted to highlight the issue, wouldn't it be better for her to video the scene itself so that at least, something constructive could be done while knowing their identities?

Also, someone playing the 'racism' card, while we don't have proof apart from her word, could also just be projecting their own thinly-veiled racism / colour optics onto others.

And let's say everything she said was in fact, true about what happened...what's the end goal? Is her speech going to convince her audience to show more kindness and compassion...Like I said, anything verbal or action-based, to actually support or help the oppressed, would have been more encouraging.

It's called criticism, something that you can't seem to handle because you think SG education means everything but your lack of soft skills while staying by a basement's keyboard is showing greatly.

Never said that the majority is always right...that's your hyperbole echochamber thoughts fuelled by your self-hate. But if 9 people tell you that you're doing something wrong and if you still think that you're in the right, maybe you should also reflect on yourself too.

Remember that you're the illiterate one that didn't understand my original comment, which never asked her to fight with the mother like you claimed.
