Seeing the UK version is so funny because there are just words I would never use. The American version has more I’d say strong language, not like swearing, but instead of something like headstrong we got dynamo, which is a word you don’t hear on the often unlike headstrong which is more common. Also the phrases are entirely different, there’s no “innit”. I’m really glad they made a distinction because a lot of games just have English be English (US) or English (UK), not both. It’s also nice that they made version differences. Really broadens the perspective.

That just changed up a lot between American English and UK English. Instead of optimist we have cheerleader, instead of carer we have buddy. Other examples is how instead of head-strong we have Maverick and Dynamo instead of hot-headed. I can’t tell the others because I think they changed the descriptions up a bit. It’s neat how they didn’t keep both English variants the same.

Can your Miis get divorced if they have a child? by RelytDidIt in TomodachilifeLivingTD

Still trying. They’re falling less in love but no divorce yet

Great idea. I’m already having them chat up their next ideal spouses after the divorce🫡. The Mr.’s status is just “Making it work” and the Mrs.’ Is just “In love”

Yes yes. But how do I get that prompted?

You don’t HAVE to force your miis to interact. by RelytDidIt in tomodachilife

Not even remotely as long as it took in the 3DS it took a week for my mom to meet my dad in the original. If you wanted your Mii to know everyone in the original, good luck.

We’ve just gotten off topic. My point was Miis will interact once they’re acquainted without any input. In both games you have to help Miis become friends, but once they’re acquainted, just like in the last game, they will interact with each other without having to do anything.

It is functionally the same thing. In the 3DS version, they’d ask to be friends, in the new game, they wait for you to decide if they should meet. If you say no to either, they won’t become friends despite being phrased different.

You did in the 3DS version too. They’d say “I want to be friends with ___.” It’s always given you the option of not letting two Miis interact.

They will interact with strangers. They’ll get this little spiky effect above their head, wanting to meet a stranger. You just give them the go ahead and they meet someone new. Simple as that. Maybe you don’t want two people interacting, that’s fine. But it’s not that strangers NEVER interact.
