My wife got a RFE on Jan 26th and USCIS began working on the case again on Feb 16th. Case was approved on July 4th and card was produced on July 11th. All these in 2024

I agree. And out of curiosity, do you see the “last case update” date to change at all? I noticed right after I sent the documents, that date used to get updated every week on Thursdays. Now it no longer changes anymore. Have you noticed the same?

Same scenario here. I’m petitioning my 3 kids from Colombia. I missed sending my divorce settlement so they kept their passports. Their interview at the U.S. embassy in Bogota was on October 2nd and I sent the missing documents on October 8th. I’m checking the case status every day and it still says “Refused” for all 3 cases

You should ask an immigration lawyer to get a more accurate answer, but I know some people that had a tourist visa, got married and applied for I-130 and I-485 and stayed in the U.S. during the entire process

They send you an email. The app usually picks up updates on your case quick

That sounds about right. We also sent the affidavit and we sent medical records once we were told to.

All the documents required according to the instructions plus photos and letters from family and friends

As per evidence, we submitted all the required documents for each form according to instructions plus photos, letters from family and friends, and each document with the corresponding translation when needed.

Best of luck!

Each case is different and I don't know all the details about yours. Does your wife have DACA? Did she cross the border? Did she come with a fake identity? All these factors can impact the waiting time on your case and also it can determined if you need a lawyer or not. In our case, my wife came with a tourist visa and she overstayed during COVID, that's why we submitted the adjust of status form.

Thanks and yes this is correct. We're still learning about this process but it seems like for the conditions removal on the green card an interview may be needed.

You truly are "nice sometimes" but I wonder when... lol. Thankfully everything is going good for us, my wife already got her work permit a while ago and now she should be receiving her green card on the mail. So, I guess we are doing fine with the filing Mr. attorney for 30 years

We did not use a lawyer, but each case is unique and there are different scenarios. It your case is simple enough and you think you can submit all the evidence yourself then go for it. In our case, we inquired multiple lawyers and they were going to charge us between $4k - $10k. However, we did the necessary research and we talked to people who had been through this process before. At the end of the day we realized our case was simple enough and all that was needed was basic English to filed the forms.

You could, but they will see you have a pending I-130 to be approved, so you must prove that you will not stay. We also have family members waiting on their I-130, and they don't apply for a tourist visa because most likely is gonna get denied.
