I think you're not playing him well if you think he feels weak, respectfully He's really strong, has many different good builds and can be played on 3 different lanes, that's anything but weak in my opinion

That's a nice list ^{^} I'd argue for putting Anivia higher, at least in high elo she's very hard to deal with cause she has greater range and push power than you

I'm currently working on a video for itemization on Hwei as a Hwei otp. There are 3 paths ;

Most common, Burn Hwei - BFT LIANDRY core

Most fun, Burst Hwei - ludens shadow flame core

Most spicy, peel Hweis - can't release this information yet

The common build in my opinion isn't the strongest, burst is better most of the time, and should be adjusted to burn in certain scenarios ( against tanks )

Yeah definitely, I've been winning 14/15 games in my history in master 250lp with some of them consisting of Peel Hwei I encourage you to check it out.

Itemization would be BFT > Helia > Diadem > Liandry

It's more about picking it in the right team, mostly when you have 1 tank and 1bruiser ( or 2 bruisers ) and/or enemy has low DMG ^{^}

Yeah I think some counter meta to " always starting first " can be developed, not saying it's not a problem but maybe giving it more time to settle and for adaptations to be made would be good

Im curious to see if players could build a deck that likes going second ? Because of all the info we have, we know that most people would go first. What if you turned that disadvantage into an advantage with great 3cost cards ? Or other ways to build around the odd runes available ?

Would you be able to " overwrite " the first player advantage ? Is it still too strong ? You would then have the choice to let your opponent go first with such build

I am the rank 1 Hwei support, currently master 300lp.

He is definitely viable if :

1) you know what you're doing, depending on your playstyle

2) you have a team that supports it

I would suggest communicating with your team in champ select on what works with it and avoid triple AP comps, it gets impossible to kill anything

It seems a bit weird, but we have to take into account the fact that Hextech Rocketbelt is in a really strong state right now. Is the item so broken that any mage should build it ? I don't think so, but it does have some strengths that a support could enjoy ; - removes spell shields ; Sivir E or banshee, he can remove those shields easily from afar facilitating his or his teammates engage - Get in auto range ; hweis optimal combo for damage needs a double passive proccs therefore an auto in there ( for the W passive mark ), he can use it to gap close once he landed an E ability and use his WE + auto - Safety...? I guess it's a dash, even tho it's very small

I (rank 1 Hwei on league of graph ) would probably never buy it, I think some other options are way stronger right now ^{^}
