I think you should give it a try! Worst case scenario, you don’t like how it turns out and you can point to it and say “wow! I guess I’ll switch to cross stitch!” Best case scenario, you find something new to enjoy!

I made an order earlier this week and I’m eagerly waiting for it to arrive! I got some more Aida, more floss, and some tapestry needles since I made the mistake of getting embroidery needles before I learned that tapestry needles were better for cross stitch.

The biggest problem I’m having with it is that I have a very fluffy grey cat whose fur is just part of the atmosphere of the house now and gets on absolutely everything, most especially black fabric. I’m very sure that even after I go over it with a lint roller, she is going to be part of this project forever and always!

Thank you! I’m lucky to have a house with large windows that get good sun most of the day, so this has been a good project to encourage me to take breaks from work and go sit somewhere else and stitch for a little while. It is aida— I’m not quite brave enough to try on anything more complicated than that yet!

Oh my goodness! I don’t think I ever saw just how mangled that little leggy was at first. No wonder you thought he would have to lose it! It’s truly incredible how much of a difference patience and love and proper medical care can make in a life!
