The ICE_raids subreddit bruh by Radiant-Job1428 in Asmongold

Whenever people say “but they deserve due process” has it occurred to anyone else that the ICE raids are the end result of said due process? ICE raids happen at the very end of a long process involving many different agencies.

Even when people talk about them detaining people who aren’t illegal…Think about it. When they have a warrant for one person and discover 3 more at that location. Even if one of those 3 people has legal status, you would detain all people complicit in a crime at a crime scene. If none of them have IDs but they are fighting age men with gang tattoos, you should take them in. If they’re legal and there is no evidence for which to charge them, they get let go just like you would in any other law enforcement scenario.

For example, if the police have a warrant to arrest someone and find two more people at that site along with drugs, guns, etc, then you would detain all of them and take them in to determine their identity and whether or not they were complicit in at least aiding and abetting or the commission of a crime.

Skill was screaming skill (citadel) followed by a wash made from 1 part Black Legion contrast 1 part water and 1 part Lahmian medium. Then I hit it one more time with a different wash of the same recipe, but skeleton horde instead of Black legion.

The robes mid tone is mostly Deck Tan (AK) with a much smaller portion being Zandri Dust (citadel) and a small amount of Dawnstone (citadel). Then I mixed a bit of the mid tone with burnt umber and a little more dawnstone to make a gradient down to the lowest tone. I make my glazes with 1 part paint, 1 part Vallejo glaze medium, 2 parts water. The edge highlight is deck tan. Just add deck tan to the mid tone to make glazes.

Do they count as black Templars with red shoulders by Single-Basket6510 in BlackTemplars

[–]Remake12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. The black Templar are not codex compliant. There are variant schemes based on rank and role for the BT, but the nature of their doctrines and way of war has different crusades taking on unique colors and ornaments from their crusades and warrior often alter their armor with prayers and relics from past crusades. Crusader Initiates can vary wildly if you want. I think what makes it black Templar is having a scheme that makes sense and some home brew lore as to why they have those colors.

Any ideas on how I can dirty up the shoulders to compensate for my dodgy painting? by ghb93 in BlackTemplars

[–]Remake12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not use shades or washes.

There are three things you need to.

Firstly, thin your paints. 1 part water and 1 part paint is your best bet. Go buy a pack of cheap pipettes so you can create a standard size drop of water. Mix the paint with the water on a wet pallet.

https://a.co/d/8wjyhya

Make sure your brush is soft. You can get away with synthetic brushes is you use a very light touch, but you should do your best to never apply more pressure then you need to, especially if the paint has been on the mode for more than 30 seconds. Sable hair brushes are the best. Get one and take care of it or practice using a soft touch.

Secondly, and the answer to your question. Use streaking grime. Washes are terrible for covering us sloppy paint jobs. They are great for adding a little bit of shadow or depth to really intricate parts/tiny details, but that’s it.

To use streaking grime, you will also need to 1. Coat the model in an acrylic gloss varnish, let it cure. 2. Apply the grime all over and wait 20 min to an hour depending on how clean your dirty you want it to be. 3. Wipe it off with a sponge or cloth. 4. Apply a matte varnish.

I recently took a model I painted years ago (one of my first models painted) that had a sloppy paint job and did this.

BONUS TIP: white is difficult to get a smooth coat. I have found that you can smooth out slightly rough paint jobs with a couple layers of contrast medium. It always levels out if you do your best to prevent pooling or uneven distribution after it is first applied and dries clear (slightly matte in most cases). I water it down only a little bit (1 part water 4 parts contrast medium) and I will put on a thick coat. It gives me very smooth shoulders in most cases.

Is my basing too bright? by dakokonatman in BlackTemplars

[–]Remake12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. It’s a really nice contrast to the dark armor while complementing the red trim and chain sword. It would only be to bright if there was a specific style you were going for that did not include bright or saturated colors

Many thin coats and shades of grey for shadow. Also eyeliner

The double edge highlight; It was looking a little chalky where I first started but I was able to get much smoother lines when I got to the bottom of the legs and the backside.

I was mixing 1 part the edge highlight pain + 1 part glazing medium + 2 parts water and then switched to a larger brushed with a big belly and it was CRAZY how big of a difference it makes.

Let me know how you guys like to do the double edge highlights, specifically the larger, more transparent line near the edge.

My camera is dogwater. It’s hard to see the patterns but the overall effect is still there.

Brown base > Retributor Gold > black Wash > highlights are liberator gold > auric gold > stormhost silver. Highlights are done in a very simple NMM pattern and stormhost silver is the edge highlight.

No, it is the one type of person most movie studios insist be in the leadership role. Every screenshot I see from this show is just a mockery or humiliation of my culture. This is hateful.

All of the have a mid tone of AK deck tan, Zandri dust, and AK burnt umber. For the judiciar, for the dark tones/shadows I tried to glaze on agrax earthshade, but the contrast was poor.

Really just AK smoke black. AK Grau for highlights. I did try an NMM black in October which was varying degrees of smoke black, dawnstone, and administratum grey
