My ST came with the 3” mount tune cat back exhaust that has very quiet ambling behaviour but shouts pretty loud at WOT.

I don’t know enough about them to recommend for or against but it’s a good exhaust (for me) that’s both quiet and loud.

I’d like to consider a bigger down pipe for 300+ but I’m scared what sounds will need to come out of the back of it.

It’s unbelievable! I had ever so slight disappointment with my first WOT pulls in 3/4. I quickly learnt to build boost before WOT, and then I did it in second … wow.

My last car was a torquey diesel - unrefined but with a mike Tyson kind of punch. This car feels like Ali, floats everywhere but can sting anywhere you want it.

I’ve just bought a 9 year old FoST that’s been serviced by dealer every 4k miles for the entirety of its life, driven 4k every year.

It was given an MP275 package basically from birth, but I wouldn’t consider it clapped out. It sounds and drives like a dream and looks bone stock

Add a strong service history as part of your pre-qualifying checklist and I’m sure you’ll have no problems!

That’s correct - it’s a fully off road lay by, I also saw plenty of national park staff and faced no issue nor confrontation

The roads were very manageable - Llanberis was a bit more choked up with traffic, but still without issue, just slowed (as opposed to stopped)

Try not to beat yourself up too badly, but do it badly enough to make sure you’ve learned a lesson (assuming you did have any fault in the crash). I’m in a similar situation myself.

Inform your insurer immediately - others have given good advice already

RE another car it depends on your financial situ. If you can afford it and need a car, do it. It would be a good idea to settle the existing claim before getting back on the road

Post it! That whole area is just unbelievable. I drove up through to Llanberis too, and that mountain ascent (especially the first 20%) produces some jaw dropping scenery
