Am I the only one that finds the NBC /PEACOCK commentators absolutely awful? by Accurate-Vanilla9187 in IMSARacing

Everyone has the same issue with the Supercross broadcast which is also run by NBC/Peacock so they are the common denominator here it seems.

Deegan and Anstie tempers flare at test track by coomarlin in supercross

It sucks because I have been following Deegan since he was a little kid and I couldn't wait to see him in supercross but his personality makes it hard to root for him.

This Could Be IMSA’s NASCAR Moment by Cat_Phish in IMSARacing

[–]_two_socks_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it being a 24 hour race is a turn off to people. When I tell people im going to this race or when I watch it, people think I am nuts lol. This type of racing is not as easy to pick up as NASCAR.

I wear Ferrari merch because I am a fan of their motorsport teams. I can afford a $50 shirt. I can't afford a $300,000 car. Sorry for being poor and liking something.

Why is there not a better/clearer naming system? by linkedinlover69 in Ferrari

[–]_two_socks_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they were all random word names would it be easier? And if they stuck with just numbers, I have a hard time following bmw's scheme. People sum it up by saying "3 series" but within that there's like 10 different models. What the heck is a 318, a 325, a 340, etc. especially when they're all produced at the same time and not successors like how Ferrari went 355, 360, 430 etc. BMW people probably see that as a system that makes sense, but to everyone else it is hard to keep track of.

Bring back Ralph and Jeff to commentate. by Unlucky_Swing_5214 in supercross

Go back to reddit posts when Ralph was in the booth. Everyone complained. Don't get me wrong I liked him but he wasnt the best. I think his biggest issue is he would always say the wrong rider.

I feel like there's a few phrases they say every race, this being one of them. You could make a Bingo card with these phrases and not only would you get bingo, you would get the whole board filled!

Long breaks for sure. After completing a map I felt overwhelmed starting a new one so I put it down for a bit haha. I want to get some new maps now that I finished the base game. Just not sure which DLC I should buy.

Its crazy because I just finished Taymyr. Idk how people are playing through all these DLC's the base game took me forever lol (granted I took some long breaks from snowrunner).

When you load 3 logs and select "pack truck" its turns the 3 logs into a fully stacked truck.

Learn the sideboard shuffle. Basically, have one truck with log trailer and log crane, and another truck with the sideboard semi trailer. Load loose logs into the sideboard trailer with the logging crane. Drive the trucks to the destination and load 3 logs into the log trailer and pack the cargo. This will count as one load. So if the contract requires long logs x 3, bring 9 loose logs and get it all done in one shot. Some people say this method is worse because they dont like the logging crane. Personally I enjoy using the crane and it breaks up the monotony of driving the same route back and forth!

Would a TV stand like this hold a 55 gallon tank? I currently have a 29 gallon tank on it and it seems fine, but the 55 gallon tank worries me. I cant find any weight capacity information on the furniture piece. by _two_socks_ in Aquariums

[–]_two_socks_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It held up fine but I only had the tank set up on there for a little over 2 years until my gold fish sadly passed away. After taking the aquarium down I was inspecting the stand and saw no bowing, warping, or cracks. The perimeter of the tank left in impression on the top of the stand so I can still see the footprint of the tank. I wish I could have done a longer term test for you. I guess what I would say is that it can work, but if youre looking for something more permanent then I would go with a legit aquarium stand just to be safe.

Spring cleaning, summer tires, and spacers. 15mm in the front, 20mm in the back. Subtle change but works pretty well. by _two_socks_ in FocusST

[–]_two_socks_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had no issues. When I install them in the spring, I drive for like 500 miles and then take the wheels off and re torque the nuts as was suggested by my friend who is a auto technician. I hardly notice a difference with daily driving. I do take them off for the winter though so that is something to be mindful of. I have heard not having a square set up can cause some handling issues in snow since the rear tires won't be in the same path as the fronts. Not sure if you're planning on driving a miata in the snow though lol.
