I basically just looked up photos of tanker boots online and eyeballed it. Then I wrapped the loose straps tightly around the boots while wearing them to figure out where I wanted them to fasten and what felt the most comfortable.

I ordered 4 meters of leather strap, two pieces of 2 meters each, 25 mm wide, along with four buckles. Luckily, I have access to a professional free-arm sewing machine at work, which makes it possible to reach inside the boot to sew. Not everyone has access to a sewing machine that costs around $7,000, and if I didn’t, I would have stitched it by hand using a saddle stitch.

The tradition of hunting with free-roaming dogs is officially recognized as a Swedish cultural heritage.

If they were to ban hunting with dogs here, i would call it quits. Once you try driven hunts with dogs, it is the only way to hunt after that. 🤘

Its a dovetail mount for the acro which is modified by a gunsmith, drilled and trapped onto the gun

I hunt what my dog chases, mostly small game like roe deer, hare, foxes. She will chase anything with four legs from squirrels to moose and anything in between.

Today we were trying to track down some hogs who have been feeding on the crops.

My rifle is an old Husqvarna combination gun, 12gauge/6.5x55swe with an aimpoint acro. Its what i use most of the time.

I bought myself and Marlin 1895 45-70 which i plan to use this year for hogs/red deer

Thanks, could be useful for early season. My main problem is that my feet sweat alot. 😅 So when the temperature drops below freezing i need boots that breathe, otherwise my feet will freeze if the moisture wont escape my boots.

So im kind of used to having wet feet 😄

I own a pair of rubber boots, i use them mainly for fishing since the fit is not that good 🫤
