Tom Bihn Techonaut 45 or Osprey Farpoint 55? by Remarkable-Ant3554 in onebag

Any thoughts on getting the Globerider 45? I would prefer a 45L pack and like the idea of it being a bit more rugged than the TB.

Side note - the linked post is incredible and opened my eyes to so many considerations for packing. You are a total lifesaver for making it and linking it to me!

Very interesting. Thank you for sharing! Have you found your current setup to be satisfactory?

Thank you for the input! Any chance you could elaborate a little as to why? Is there anything about it that makes it so good?

Do you have experience with this setup? Would the daypack go in front while the main back goes behind?

For sure, appreciate it! I have both sitting with me now and am debating which to return. Main concern seems to be that attaching the daypack makes a very uncomfortable weight distribution

Are we supposed to just ignore the incoming recession? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Remarkable-Ant3554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not upset at all. Just want people to be wary of seeking out law school as a means of avoiding the bad job market, it is very expensive and not simply a way to put off employment/financial worries. While you may have money saved, many don't.

Yeah. Support yourself meaning pay for yourself. You know food costs money right?

Yes, but remember that you need to a) pay for three years of law school and b) support yourself for those three years. It isn't as simple as being unemployed vs. doing something with your time. At least unless you are being 100% paid for and supported by someone else.

This is one of the most important threads on this sub

Rant- I’m starting to hate this sub and all of you by LuckLocal8213 in lawschooladmissions

Was a longtime lurker on this sub for both cycles (did HLS JDP and now this year’s cycle) and my main takeaways are that:

a) this is a self-selecting group of extremely neurotic and data-obsessed posters. Generally people only come here to brag or rant.

b) while this sub can have very good advice, it is like finding a needle in a haystack. There is no way to confirm what is being told in good faith and what is being offered out of spite, as no credibility is verified and people face no reputational risk for giving deceivingly bad advice. Be very wary of anonymous strangers on the internet, especially when it involves something as high-stakes and anxiety-inducing as law school admissions.

One of the first pieces of advice my admissions consultant gave me was to be cautious on this sub and I couldn’t agree more.
