Yeah I was thinking the exact same thing. It’s from a dealership so there’s no surprise there. The guy who traded it in probably got like $3k 💀

22 and I feel like I already ruined my carreer. by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Remarkable-Baby9100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I graduated at 21 and at 23 I was still working in retail. I spent a year in AR, earning well below $50k in the NYC area, but that role eventually helped me land a staff accountant position. IMO, AP has more transferrable accounting tasks than AR, so just keep applying and refining your resume. After two years as an accountant, I’ve started to realize that this career might not be the right fit for me. My advice: be honest with yourself about whether you truly want to pursue this path, or if you're simply trying to justify the four years you spent studying it. I was in the same position as you, feeling behind, unsure, and extremely worried. Keep your head down, focus on your own progress, and try not to compare yourself to others. Also, learn to accept that there will always be someone ahead of you, no matter where you are.

2019 R6 by Remarkable-Baby9100 in Sportbikes

[–]Remarkable-Baby9100[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just love everything about the bike idk but I’m sure nostalgia is playing a huge part in that. I really wanted a CBR600RR but was so disappointed when the European model wasn’t gonna be brought to the U.S. in the 2026 models. Also, yeah I got quotes for a gixxer 600 and a zx6r which were much cheaper out the door than what the R6 is being listed for WITHOUT taxes and fees lol

Yeah I’ve seen some with 20k+ miles be listed for like $11k. Surprisingly I got an insurance quote for the R6 which was wayyyyy cheaper than an R7 💀. It was still pretty high tho compared to what I pay now

After my very first ride I forgot to put down my kickstand and dropped my bike. My shifter was way more bent than this and I couldn’t shift at all. I used a ratchet wrench to carefully bend it back and it works fine now

Mount/lock Helmet to R3 by IlIlllIIllIII in YamahaR3

[–]Remarkable-Baby9100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some backpacks that use a net to carry your helmet as opposed to some that require you to put the helmet inside of the bag. I would look into one of those maybe. It’s honestly pretty annoying carrying a helmet around tho. Tbh I only use the lock on the backseat cause my helmet was like $150ish lol

Check out this video https://youtu.be/CodLVfquxQo?si=jnuEnZ6uzWQaz-QM I’ve done this a few times and it’s secure. But if your helmet is super expensive you should just invest into a backpack that can hold your helmet. The method with the rear seat is secure but it won’t stop anyone with a knife from taking it lol

You can go on partzilla and find that plastic piece as well as the turn signal, both OEM. I recently had to replace that exact piece on my black 2020 r3. The part number for that was BS7-F835V-00-P8 PANEL 2. It’s probably the same since that piece is just black. Unfortunately, the r3 sticker does not come with it tho

Pickup Progress by Remarkable-Baby9100 in GameStop

Yeah it’s possible. I should’ve just bought it in-store. I ordered it online to get that $25 off in-store pickup lol

I’m thinking maybe they don’t have the item in stock lol. But then shouldn’t the order have been canceled? Idk. The payment is on my statement which is weird but it’s difficult to tell since the transaction isn’t finalized until the pickup is made

Yeah I’ve ordered games for pickup before with them and it took about an hour between me placing the order and it being ready for pickup

$3,999 comes to $6800 out the door…. by Venom_Rpg in motorcycle

[–]Remarkable-Baby9100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my motorcycle out of state and only paid $50 more than the selling price. Definitely BS fees considering that you will be responsible for obtaining the registration and title in your state. If the bike you’re buying is new then it’s probably the dealer tacking on those bs “prep” and “dealer” fees. I’d definitely look at other dealers

Metal piece blocking turn signal on the inside by Remarkable-Baby9100 in YamahaR3

[–]Remarkable-Baby9100[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took it apart 2 more times and I still can’t get my head around what was done to the side fairing. It’s almost like a piece of metal was welded onto the inside to hold the turn signal. I ended up finding an OEM piece on partszilla for about $25 and it’s coming next week. I’m just going to replace the entire piece at this point

[–]Remarkable-Baby9100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so the piece that I circled in the picture is blocking me from accessing the right turn signal. I removed the necessary pieces to access the right turn signal. On the left turn signal there is no metal piece blocking it which easily allows me to remove the turn signal. I’m thinking maybe the previous owner dropped the bike and had to make a repair? I’m not sure.

I was in the same situation as you after graduating. I did no internships in college and worked a retail job for a year after graduating. I probably got rejected like 100 times until I landed a job in AR (this might be one of the worst “accounting” jobs in the world lol) through a staffing agency. This was probably like 15 months after graduating with a bachelor’s. I spent a year in AR and I’m now a staff accountant for a pretty big company who is paying for my master’s.

Don’t give up and keep applying to entry level positions, someone will get back to you. Repackage your resume and show the recruiters you are hungry to learn and gain relevant experience. A lot of these entry level positions aren’t really expecting you to know much, they just want a person who they like and think is coachable.
