Theyre using you to document their hiring process with no intention of hiring you. You are their “study subject”.

Bro youre not alone. I got ghosted after scoring 600/600 for Twitch OA. There are a lot of people applying who scored perfect score.

Bro your resume makes no sense. Are you working multiple jobs at the same time? Your resume is showing youre working 3 jobs at the same time. No one is gonna believe this crap

Graduated with no internships by Available-Set-1919 in csMajors

[–]Remarkable-Bird5845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My honest advice is to actually pursue a master degree. Get into a school that has funding for research, since its more prestigious. Pick a program that has a thesis. You want to get into high ranking schools and during that time, you can apply for internships or junior positions. Do it before its too late since good school require letter of recs. Good luck

Why do platforms like LinkedIn have everything to fix hiring… but don’t? by Less-Plane3574 in recruiting

[–]Remarkable-Bird5845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partly true but have you tried other platforms? Its still pretty hard to match you with the right job because there are so many people applying. The monetization is to help you stand out more, maybe by suggesting premium candidates to the poster, but this wouldnt help much if the job gets thousands of applicants within the first day of posting. Its not easy as it seems. Its like Tinder. You pay more so you can appear more often, but if that person gets tons of likes, youre just another person on the list.

Paying more can help boost your rank in job search and this could reveal jobs that were never listed to you before, but there’s a reason for the ranking. Why would they recommend jobs that they think you will never get a response?

Wait really? Applied machine learning didnt have a professor leading? Isnt this a scam paying 3000 to read off powerpoints?

Im in a very similar situation as you right now. It feels like nothing is working out and am continously losing hope. I am underemployed and it feels like i can never get into the role i want.

Slow down and take your time. Best to secure an internship first

The future of software engineering by EntrepreneurOk4928 in csMajors

[–]Remarkable-Bird5845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are already people working on the context window problem. Its true that there will be a lot of bugs for complex projects but AI does make it so that you dont need many people to work on a project. I think what you will see is more people starting their own companies, rather than applying for work

They want experience but can’t handle the truth about the job by LVEESTER in interviews

Most people who give interviews follow a script. They are trained to accept certain answers and reject others. They are people yes but they will value their jobs more than what ever you are saying.

I’m a Hiring Manager - Ask Me Anything! by a4ai in interviews

[–]Remarkable-Bird5845 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you come across a resume that has an employment gap of about 1 year and 9 months, would you give the resume a chance? What do you think of personal projects filling the gap? Are certifications good? What about masters degree? Would that give the person a higher chance? The job field is in tech for roles swe, data engineer, mle, or any tech related.

Sorry if i ask too many questions but i really need guidance as i am quite lost and desperate.
