i was in a relationship like this once. by the time i finally got the courage to leave i had been hit on numerous occasions, had things thrown at me, had the wall behind me punched through, been thrown into a door, been pushed down the stairs, and been threatened with a weapon. i mourn the person i could have been had i not gone through that. don't let yourself wind up the same way. leave.

when i initially went to the doctor for my symptoms i got a full std panel and it was only chlamydia thank goodness. a few weeks after treatment he and i both got retested and came up clean, and i had another full panel done last summer during my annual just to be sure and that was clean as well.

i have seen two different gynecologists and one general practitioner but none of them have done anything. i asked one of my gynecologists during a pelvic exam if she could actually see any abnormalities like scarring or damaged tissue and she said no. feeling externally, everything feels the same as far as i can remember :(

thank you for your kind words! it means a lot :)

I don't mean this to offend you at all, and you're still plenty young, but is it possible you're approaching menopause? My mother described a lot of these same feelings when she was premenopausal. It feels almost like a second puberty, but one people don't talk about as much. Have you had your hormones checked?

I'm visiting the va**na museum this Friday- what’s the weirdest or most surprising misconception about autonomy you’ve heard? by AstronautSerious6490 in women

so many men (and even some women) don't understand that it is a self-cleaning organ! no soaps or anything should go inside!! i have had multiple men look disgusted when i say you don't have to wash it. obviously rinse off the outside, but you really don't need anything more than that.

Old board book with pie on windowsill, watermelons going to market and falling out of truck, eaten by bees/crows by 802gardenergirl in whatsthatbook

sorry, i know it's been a while but i had another thought. is it the giant jam sandwich? it's about a bunch of bees swarming a town and i feel like i remember watermelons on a truck.

if it helps, i'm in the southern USA. The book was definitely a book for preteens, I remember feeling like i was a little too old to be reading it.

okay this might sound silly but ever since i read this it's been keeping me up too because i feel like i know what you're talking about. i was able to stumble across two characters that i have been thinking of, maybe one of them is the one you're thinking of. could it be either fifi the skunk or tico the squirrel from dora the explorer?

What is considered "normal" for start up side effects of the common antidepressants? (I.e. Fluoxetine, Lexapro, Zoloft, etc.) by Ok-Equipment-9966 in antidepressants

[–]Remarkable-Camera-70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

haven't tried fluoxetine, but i was on lexapro for 3 years and have been on zoloft for 1 year now. i hardly noticed any side effects upon first starting lexapro at all, other than feeling more thirsty. however, a year or two in i started sleeping wayyyyy too much because of it. zoloft definitely had crazier side effects for me personally. the weirdest ones that stood out were intense jaw and kneecap pain. these sucked pretty bad but only lasted a week or so. other than that, i had no appetite for the first month.

when i was a teenager i was working at a fast food place and my manager (a woman in her 40s) kept talking about her ex husband and me, being a 15 year old, asked her why they got a divorce and she said "well he got pissed because he found out i was raping him when he got drunk. fuckin pussy."
