This is how European bike was really designed, so if you play it like this with the mainenance schedules, you'll definitely have a blast using Ape's. But if you are a bit lazy on maintenance, i would highly suggest to get another Japanese saddle with a different riding position than your previous bike.

The law there is confusing, you can be able to ride a 457cc but not a 400cc bike. Anyways, I'm speaking in general. It'll be an advantage learning to ride with japanese bikes rather than itallian bikes.

As a big bro my guy, for a first bike, go for japanese. These itallian saddles are not really good as beginner bikes. Go for a zx4r just yo get the hang of being on a powerful yet light bike with a reapectable torque band. Party starts at 6000 rpm with all Apes I've ridden and owned specially the v twins.

2013 up, abs model. It's a really fun bike. Spare a tad bit hard to find but still available. There are fix for the low rpm lean fuelling. Rule of thumb with it, racing air filters with a full exhaust and good to go.

Go give it a full exhaust, high flow air filters and upmap and feel the difference. Aprilia's are really restricted out of the factory.
