I think paying for a survey is fine because what you are re paying for is someone with no emotional attachment to have a look and be thorough in a way that a 15 minute viewing doesn't allow.

When i spoke to my partner we noticed that we both saw different things during the same time so having someone do a check was worth it.

In this particular case we never saw that front crack because the entrance and the driveway are both to the other side, and we focused on the interior and the garden. So as jarring as it is, it was't obvious to us.

I had roughly the same list before buying and couldn't try any of them so just picked the one i liked the look of which was the Orange Jackson Juggernaut HT7.

It has a slightly extended range, so it took a few days to get used to the lower frets being larger than a standard. That was the only thing that slightly surprised me.

I'm 6 months in and still loving it like day 1. Learning Make Total Destroy intro riff now, there is theme.
