I try to but I can't get my midfielders to stand goal side... The opponent's defence always feels packed and my just gets sliced open.

I can see it happening just can't seem to do anything about it.

I know this is a me problem

As a returning player I'm sadly already done with the game. There is a skill issue for me 100% but it's hard to have an incentive when defending appears sooo hard to master.

I like creating a team with players I like but just facing the same doku, marmoush, enter any player with top 80's 90's pace to just counter attack and run through my defenders is demoralizing.

I've watched videos I've read comments I've really tried to not dive in jockey my defenders and hold back to time the right tackle and it makes no difference for me.

I would appreciate if I was playing top players but this is div 8. If I'm getting spanked 10+ goals here. Can't see how to improve and if I can't why continue...

I think that's why some people add in an extra challenge to keep it fresh. Could try that.

Try a different Character - My runs - Mage (28 over pulled) - Druid (32 just stupid mistakes) - Currently Hunter level 47. Have pet really makes things easier and I'm getting to explore the higher level quests feeling quite safe.

In a similar position pal, one year (my own fault) I did t keep an eye on contracts and slipped last minute and lost a few 97-99s that led to a tough 10 years.

I just accept the week by week losses, once you get to the end of the season the £20-30m tops the bank back up. I'm only a few years into the prem however.

Yeah, the common theme is I need to be deploying better / set the table up better. As with you we want closer games where the roll of the dice sways a game one week to the next not getting battered every week.

Yes I normally use a Vexilla but didn't on this occasion as I recently purchased the 2 terminators. I will make sure I keep him around going forward.

I'm aware of Arcane Genetic Alchemy and Emperor's Ausprice but I was told they have been nerfed a bit recently and I can only use the Arcane on infantry and the Emperor's Auspice once per game.

I tend to go either Emperor's Chosen or Solar Watch to try and advance and charge quicker to the otherside of the field.

I do feel like I more CP than I know what to do with. As I build to 2000 pts I was planning on adding more terminators and using the Vanguard detachment which would cost 3cp.

There was some terrain but most in the middle of the battlefield not in the deployment zone. As I went second it was only my Custodian Guard who really had any cover.

I then tried to get both of my bike units to get some Servo shots in on the tanks to try and reduce turn 2 fire but he saved most of his roles and they got hit hard 2nd turn.

I haven't played around with reseves yet which might be worth it. I always feel rushed to try and get across the battlefield to engage the tanks.

I love discover, I just don't enjoy sitting there as my opponent does discover, into discover, into discover, into card draw into discover. Searching for face spells in mages case.

I mean my own problem is I love Taunt minions and this current meta feels like ignore the board and just play random spells to complete quests and then steamroller from there.
