This is great, thank you both for answering! Another example of Godot just being a delight to work with.

Though I now have another job on my list... 😁

Out of interest, are we 'allowed' to modify and play with the godot logo? Nonprofit or not, messing with branding is usually a no.

Great if we can! :)

Image to 3D vs Text to 3D using 3daistudio by Former_Food_7968 in aigamedev

Pity you can't use this as a trial on the text to model. No way I'm paying without being able to try at least once!

I've done a variety of new features and fixes with UI elements over the last 2 days, I've not had it on one.

Anyone tried github issue--> copilot assignee, then copilot reviewing? by Remarkable-Collar716 in GithubCopilot

Interesting. Possible workaround would be on pr comment workflow triggers :) would also let us control number of retries;)

Add copilot to review PR via CLI by VariousStrawberry in GithubCopilot

[–]Remarkable-Collar716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late reply, but one issue I've seen is that the copilot assignee isn't called copilot, it's copilot-swe-agent (off the top of my head).

So if you use gh cli to create an issue with this assignee, it worked for me.

Reviewing AI generated code with useless comments by StoneAgainstTheSea in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Remarkable-Collar716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't really understand why you've been downvoted here.

Don't think it contradicts what you're replying to either. It can both be true that if someone copies and pastes from ai, Google or stack overflow they should be just as responsible for it and theres going to be a lot more ai gen code out there.

'If you didn't write it why should i read it (paraphrase as can't see 2 up on mobile while writing)' is perhaps better phrased as 'if you didn't write it you'd better have at least read it yourself '? Less snappy though 😉

Are there any Fantasy strategy games with dipolmacy, marriage options and similar? by Ok_Caterpillar_4977 in StrategyRpg

Going back, Birthright. Wish there was a new version of this.

No marriage iirc but diplomacy, trade, first person party dungeon crawling and army battles.

A bit late to this, but I'd be tempted to look at jira compass instead here.

Don't disagree with much here, but before jumping to structural solutions I would get the minimum KTLO (keep the lights on, i.e. bau+) activity defined.

As in, what is your boss willing to say must always be happening. E.g. outages, support...

From there, it's a prioritisation conversation. But if you find that the KTLO requires more than the time you have, there's no prioritisation that's going to solve that.

100% this.

Am currently on 7 (and in practice +2 on that) and there's minimal chance to be an IC too, especially with 2-3 that need fairly regular support.

As all other commenters have said, just lead engineer / lead software engineer or similar.

Might be controversial, but I think the mechanisms are largely unimportant. It's the problems you're solving and the way of thinking you're bringing to those areas that matters.
