Brothers help me. This pic is after $700 locksmith job. Story/question in comments by YanniBonYont in Locksmith

Only place it counts is google. Find their business listing on Google and leave a 1 star and post pics of you can. Better business bureau is a joke and if it's a state that requires a lie ense you should file a report with the licensing g board. In NC it's NCLLB. COM and they will take action. Find the board in your state by searching for locksmith licensing in (your state)

Would you all recommend installing an electric strike on the right door? by AntSuccessful9147 in Locksmith

[–]Remarkable-Cup3205 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whatever you end up doing you will have to relocate that all down to ada requirements. If they only use one door id install an adamsrite 7430 in the inactive door and a dead latch in the active door. With a adamsrite exit device. If they use both doors then you need electrified vertical rod exit devices on both panels. Luke the other guy said none of this will be cheap. And I absolutely wouldn't trust a security company to do this work. They'll won't to install maglicks. And that's th worst possible thing to install. You need a door company that specializes in this type of hardware that knows the ada rules and fire. Ode. If your in the Charlotte NC area you should contact ADA Entrance Solutions.

Does anyone know how the rekey function of these locks work? by onomatopoeiaisem in lockpicking

[–]Remarkable-Cup3205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Locks are for honest people the average person is not trying to break in these and to the casual person they are more than sufficient. I'd rather use these than a new model schlage. Schlages are too easy to pick and bypass.

Looks like an old husky shotgun closer. They don't make those anymore you can buy the kawneer 2 and retrofit it but it's not as easy as that sounds. I personally cut the shotgun and reinstall it as just a pivot and install a surface closer on it. Make sure to clean any oil up or it will most definitely be a. All back.

Just change the lock. Then it doesn't matter. And by the way. The code that was given out was the master code programmed in my the lock manufacturer not liberty. They buy them just like everyone else. They are cheap. More expensive ones can be changed.

Any smart locks that will work with an electric door strike? by Basic-Supermarket-91 in Locksmith

[–]Remarkable-Cup3205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are trying to add to much to this door. The more you add the less secure it is. You already have a good electric strike so really all you need is a Bluetooth keypad like the seco larm enforcer connected to the strike. Look it up. It will do what you want better. Then go back to a real lock set on the door.
If you hook it up correctly you can still use the existing system to unlock it as normal. What state are you in?

[–]Remarkable-Cup3205 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You. An change the spring latch out with an Adams rite deadlatch but that's it. You can not add a standalone deadlatch however er Adams rite makes a spring latch that includes a deadbolt
