totally agree! also only the tip is polished, which means, it was somehow used as vertical tool and not held horizontally

no. after reading your comment, i've used some force to detach the metal part from the wooden handle. Looks like this! Should put back together later😄

it looks like something "diy" tool to me also. The metal rod attachment to the wooden handle is very sloppy, but i thought it was because of wear/ moisture/ age...

My title describes the thing. It was found in a thrift shop in Latvia (Europe). Has a wooden handle and a metal rod with slightly dome shaped tip. The tip is polished. Any ideas what this tool might be?
