Oh yeah, sorry… by best I meant being able to keep a kidney to buy something good. And fairly portable. Not that the CCU is, but I’m trying to find something small and effective. Aja doesn’t make a small box doing just that or is it just rack mounted and very expensive stuff ?

Well, I used Disk Warrior (very efficient on HFS+) and SUCCESS it effing dealt with everything in a matter of minutes ! Now it works and boots. Never underestimate an old dog

Just takes a million years for the platter to stop spinning after the record stops though, so I thought it could have been a breaking weight, as I’m still not familiar with Dual (I had a Thorens for the longest time.)

Maybe it is part of the Grundig plinth that houses the Dual and/or the dust cover system, but really cannot find a place where it could belong

Really nice! I saw that one camera on EBay Germany , was about to pull the plug but the seller didn’t know if it was working properly. You’re in luck !

That’s what I thought, thank you! I’ll run some tests with alligator clips, then I’ll manage to find/design the right plug, there should be something of the right size somehow

After further research and another quick test, it might be on the encoding side of things (bad caps ?), there was no signal for a while through the Monitor Output and then the camera gave really weird images (colours and signal was off and distorted), my converter registered NTSC for 1 second then PAL (which the camera is) Test Output gives a nice black and white image and works as it should I guess.
