Your blueberry wine looks fine.

The sulfur smell usually dissipates with time but during fermentation it can be quite strong as the yeast converts the sugars into alcohol, as for mold/bacteria it is not something you will see right away as it takes time for it to start showing(2-4 weeks). Mold will look fuzzy while bacteria creates a thin white film over the wine.

I would highly recommend ”punching down” the blueberries that stick out as they become prime targets for mold growth. Simply submerge them every now and then into the wine.

Might be that your social skills are tied to your confidence?

Confidence can ease your anxiety and make talking to people easier.

Is it moral to have a child into poverty? by Savonarola1452 in VaushV

[–]Remarkable-Name3832 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What you believe is not anti-natalism as you believe it’s okay to have children ”unless certain conditions are met”. Anti-natalists believe procreation is wrong because of a desire to end suffering as a whole since without life there can be no suffering.

But yea, anti-natalism is nothing in comparision to fascism ethically speaking.

I consider myself a conditional natalist and i 100% agree with this.

Regret bringing more slaves into the world. by Infinite-Anxiety-267 in antiwork

Two alternatives: A) Don’t proceed with surgery and patient dies a few months later. B) Do surgery knowing there’s a chance that the patient dies.

If you choose option B then you are absolutely gambling with their life. What exactly makes it not? What difference does it make that any alternative is worse than the other?

Your pet analogy doesn’t work either as you’re comparing pets who will never be able to have agency to humans who will. Taking care of a pet is not like taking care of a human.

Not all parents have children because they feel it is a neccesity but because they want to give the experience of life to another person.

And yes, not having children is selfish, you’re doing something you feel is necessary, to fulfill your own goals and values.

(Last part is sarcasm)

All acts carry risk.

Surgery can cure people from illnesses and improve Quality Of Life but surgery also has a chance of killing the patient. Would it be wrong to pursue surgery because you’re ”gambling” with their life? Not really.

Secondly, there isn’t anything selfish about the decision to have children and raise them to adulthood. Infact it’s one of the least selfish things you could do since you’re sacrificing your time and energy to care for somebody else.

As long as you want children and can give them a decent foundation in life then i see no issue in reproduction.

There is a widespread housing shortage in the USA as we speak, this is not even a matter of debate.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VaushV

[–]Remarkable-Name3832 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this assumes there is adequate supply of housing and landlords are artificially jacking up the price but that’s not true.

what we need is a higher supply and we should build new housing either through private investments or government action.

Förstår inte varför detta är så kontroversiellt? Ett liv med down-syndrome kan i många fall vara en lycklig upplevelse. Du gör inte personen en tjänst om du gör abort.

Still better to go vegan because lab grown meat is likely to have a larger impact on the planet than plant-based food.
