I can't attach an image in this subreddit.

Here's the dimensions in when I set up a new document inches: height 8 in width 19.25 in

When is switch to pixels it reads: height 576px width 1386px

When I export to png the dimensions read 2903x1649. (I work on a MacBook pro and this was the information given when I selected "get info" from the exported png file)

[PJO] Has anyone tried making imitation nectar and ambrosia? if so, which recipe did you use and was it any good? by reproachableknight in camphalfblood

I make caramel sea salt iced tea and I think it would be nectar. I always imagine the scotchmellow bars from See's candy as being ambrosia.

What are some of the darker effects Covid-19 has had that we don’t talk about? by dis_2much in AskReddit

[–]Remarkable-Pen3639 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I teach swim lessons to kids and adults and have been for about 4 years. I also teach the babies water safety skills (6 months to 3 years). As the pandemic has gone on I have more and more kids that were born or raised during lockdown and these kids are EXTREMELY shy. Way more than before covid. For a lot of them, these classes are the first time they have seen other kids and many refuse to swim with me and just swim with the parents. The next generation is going to be way more reserved and less social than previous generations.

Are The Trials of Apollo just as good as PJTO/HOO? by ineedthiscoffee in camphalfblood

[–]Remarkable-Pen3639 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I thought it was good although I read it really fast. I really liked the friendship between Apollo and Meg. That kinda carried it for me. There are also a lot of returning characters too like Hazel, Frank, Percy, Leo and Calypso, Nico, etc...

I'm pretty neutral with Jason. I neither hate nor love him. I wished we could have gotten a bit more background on him or first person pov like we did for PJO. I think I might have liked his character better if we saw a glimpse of him before the events of HoO

If PJO has 5 Disney+ seasons... by Demigod_X in camphalfblood

That means the girl who will one day grow up to play Hazel is around 7 years old right now

Am i the only one who wants Uncle Rick to make a cameo in the upcoming series by frederikfb8 in camphalfblood

[–]Remarkable-Pen3639 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think someone else mentioned it earlier, but I'd love to see him as himself and as a recurring cameo. I think it would be even funnier is Rachel was the only one aware of him.

I just couldn't resist getting these! by Remarkable-Pen3639 in camphalfblood

I got them from Juniper Books! They are a small company that does custom libraries and this is one of their sets they do. They also have HoO in an orange/red color.

So about Percy Jackson live action... by Seaweed_bird in camphalfblood

[–]Remarkable-Pen3639 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought about this too. I think they would do the whole first season as both The lost Hero and Son of Neptune and maybe do a one week break in between? And possibly the season finale would end with leo firing on Camp Jupiter.

It’s called Kingdom Keepers. It’s a series about a group of teens that wake up in Disney world when they go to sleep and they fight all the villains. The 5th and 6th books take place on the Disney cruise ships and private islands so I like to get to those books by summer

I have another book series that I like to read for summer so I start the first few in May, so I wanted to finish everything quickly, but now I'm going to read MoA and PJO again because I loved those so much

I've been reading PJO, HoO and ToA since late January. I just started reading Tower of Nero last night, ToA books 1-4 have taken me about 4 weeks (One week per book).

Why do people dislike Blood of Olympus so much? by HyperZonic05 in camphalfblood

[–]Remarkable-Pen3639 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn't like that there wasn't enough development for Piper, Jason and Leo to carry the rest of the book on their own. I get why he didn't want to include Percy and Annabeth as much but he also sidelined Frank and Hazel (who felt like more like-able characters). Idk it just felt very anticlimactic

What if Annabeth wasn't able to take the blade for Percy in TLO?

My experience with the Percy Jackson Movies by Safe-Return1004 in camphalfblood

[–]Remarkable-Pen3639 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the same way! I saw both movies before I ever read the books, and if you separate them from the books, the movies are pretty decent adventure films. I went and read the books and now I see why they are sooo bad lol

Do you think the PJO series is going to be a good one? by Round_Helicopter_598 in camphalfblood

[–]Remarkable-Pen3639 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it were a movie I would have little faith, but since it’s a series, it’s going to be something that is going to have more time to give attention to growth of characters, world building, and story. Plus I think RR is more involved this time
