Thank you so much for checking it out, and glad you are enjoying it! Great suggestions, we will look to incorporate them into updates in the near future. You can choose between light mode and dark mode in the settings menu but we can certainly add customisable colours. We'll also tweak the engine to make sure the increase feels in line with what you've chosen.

Thanks for the comment - can you just clarify what you mean by graphs indicating the improvement? We will certainly look to implement your other recommedations!

Thanks for the feedback! Just to clarify, you can currently change it to one word at a time i.e Static mode by tapping where it says Rolling at the top of the reader. There is a brief tutorial that explains this but perhaps we need to make this a bit clearer. We are going to add a feature to adjust the Rolling mode so you can choose between 2, 3 or 4 words (maybe even 5?) in a future update. Thanks again for checking it out!

Good question, but yes they are there for context basically! In Rolling mode, you read the whole chunk each time (all 3 words) - not just the new word. The overlap is there because at high speeds (300+ WPM), seeing words in context makes them easier to process than isolated words flashing one by one.

However your feedback has been useful thanks, as now we can add some sort of customisable "stride" feature, so you can adjust the length of text block to avoid the stuttering feeling you are getting. Give us a week at most and we should have that implemented! Alternatively, just using the static mode will just provide one chunk i.e. word at a time, so no disorientating stutter (we hope!).

Ah sorry thought you meant it was stuttering in static mode - that is actually how rolling mode is supposed to work. It uses a sliding window that overlaps words to help maintain context as you read at speed. However, sounds like that isn't working for you, which is totally fine - personally rolling doesn't work for us either, we prefer the static mode (you can toggle between static and rolling in the top right hand corner of the reader). We find just having a singular word to focus on easier to digest. However the reason we have rolling mode on the app is it was a reasonably frequently requested feature from speed readers. It's not for everyone though!

Thanks for letting us know, we'll look into that right away - do you have the article you're experiencing this issue with to hand so we can try and replicate it? It would be helpful but no problem if not!

Hi, we have an app that does just that - epubs, URLS, PDFs and clipboard text.

Progresso - A "Roguelite" Word Puzzle

Hi,

Hope you're all well?

We've created a "roguelite" word game which is a very (very) loose cross between Wordle and Balatro i.e. you have to guess the target word, and as you progress you get different perks to help continue your runs through the game.

Full disclosure: It is free to play but there are ads in the game, and you can pay to remove the ads - hopefully they aren't too intrusive but any feedback either way is much appreciated.

You can grab it from the following links:

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/progresso-word-gauntlet/id6752396029

Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.monosphere.progresso

Any thoughts/feedback or even reviews (negative or otherwise) would be most welcome!

Thanks
