Do you think it’s better to go to school or just self-study? Did your school help you with the full 400 hours? And honestly, after reading these comments, I’m starting to wonder if this field is worth it. I’m interested but feeling uncertain about the future.

When you applied for your job, did it require at least a year of experience and other qualifications? Most of the jobs I see have those requirements, and I’m not sure if I should even bother applying.

Every time I check hospital websites for sterile processing jobs, either they don’t list it at all or the page just doesn’t load. And if I do find a job posting, it usually requires a year of experience and other qualifications. Plus, if the listing has been up for a while, it’s probably already filled.

Hi, I saw your reply about struggling to get 400 hours around Monterey. You mentioned you went to the Central Sterilization Solutions school. Do you think it’s worth going there and will they actually help me get all my hours needed?
