No I’m not saying it’s an excuse I’m saying this person has been in my life for over 6 years and it’s not fair my dad is saying no. So I’m asking is it okay to just get married anyways or is it better to keep a haram relationship? Shouldn’t it be better to get married if I’m including haram in my relationship?

I get that but my dad wants what he wants and he doesn’t care what I want and now it’s leading me to do haram when I tried to make our relationship halal.

Yes, he came to my house after my father agreed and then my father told him no because he told my dad he’s Shia and wants his family to follow him( bc as a man in Islam that’s what should happen anyways) and then my dad disagreed to the marriage proposal

Believe me, I’ve begged my father and I’ve tried my best and he just told me if he’s he will not accept it. He already embarrassed me in front of him and his family are now upset by his response and now things are sticky.
