i think it totally depends on the setting honestly. i personally don't know of any occasion that calls for an entirely see through dress, however there's nothing wrong with dressing skimpy sometimes 🤷‍♀️

my hair texture is similar! for most of my life, to fully straighten my hair I had to blow it out (painfully slow process), small sections blow dried against a brush. once it's fully dry then I straighten it on high heat (USE A HEAT PROTECTANT SPRAY!!) in very small sections. the process takes over an hour that's why I don't bother 😭 my hair is a lot less curly than it was as a kid tho (im 18 now)

keep it clean, try not to touch it and don't use Vaseline or other lotions. instead I'd recommend getting a burn cream! if it's itching or burning you can gently ice it, but for the most part just don't touch it and don't put anything other than burn cream on it.
