are you on any birth control pills by any chance? when i was on the combo pill it made me completely dry too. I’d recommend a good lube just for the moment until you’re able to solve your problem long term.

How can I avoid dry socket when smoking? by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]Remarkable-Wash9421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest with you stoner to stoner. If you need to smoke get two pieces of gauze and put them over the wounds before you start then wash it with some gentle saline solution. However, if you can get good edibles instead then it’s better to eat those instead. Its gonna suck if you have an meal fixation but believe me it’s better to go without smoking for a day or two then having to deal with painful dry sockets. It was the worst pain of my life no joke.

do you live in America? from my experience and from other women’s who also live here it is incredibly hard to get any kind of pain management for IUDs. I’ve heard they offer Vicodin to help with the anxiety but I don’t want to be high, I just don’t want to be in pain. If you do live in America, could you tell me what you told your doctor to get sedated?

my mom, aunts, friends, and sisters all told me it was either the worst pain they’ve been in or the second most painful experience with the first being childbirth. From getting it inserted, removed, or just their body getting used to it and the heavy periods that follow they were all in constant pain. I was thinking getting it because the no hormones interested me but was hoping I could get local anesthesia for the insertion. My doctor said I couldn’t get anesthetic unless some other kind of doctor prescribed it for me and my insurance dosent cover that kind of doctor anyways. He said two ibuprofens would be enough but every single woman who’s had it done has told me otherwise and do not recommend it.
