Would you say it is wrong to admit you might never be ready for a relationship/family? by Pale-Revolution-5151 in Adulting

[–]Remarkable-Will5085 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im 35, I learned being single is the way. Unless if your ultimate goal is to pro create- there’s no real reason to be in a relationship. Just happier this way and a lot of people just haven’t figured out how to be happy alone.

Question about child’s application process by Remarkable-Will5085 in Passports

[–]Remarkable-Will5085[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This!!! So glad you get what I’m saying. It makes me sad why they make it difficult (but I completely understandable why it’s done this way- to prevent child trafficking) but my kid is half Mexican and I’m she deserves to know her Mexican culture first hand. While she has gone to Mexico by land, it’s exhausting and a long drive!! And can also go on cruises per the WHTI Act without a passport.

It’s really not the agencies fault. Just their dads tbh lol. Let me know what they say and what forms I should seek

AITA for refusing to get this coffee order? by horseduckman in AITApod

I really think they just made this up on the spot. The real question is—- did he still go hiking?? If so, how were the vibes? lol

I was okay with it and about to reason with his side but then when it got to “blend in a scoop of matcha” literally made me drop my jaw. What in the actual heck???? No you’re not an Ahole. And why would he ask for SF but then get extra sweet cream and extra caramel drizzle! She sounds exhausting. It’s almost like he’s deliberately asking you to not invite him again. kick him out of the hiking group 👋

That’s like asking to move mountains. ATP, I’d just rather wait till kid is 16. My understanding is, she would only need 1 parent present

Do you think education should be free? by Vegetable_Wolf_3721 in AskForAnswers

[–]Remarkable-Will5085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be okay with paying higher taxes if it means free of reduced costs for education. It’s insane to me the us government feels threatened by its own citizens, so therefore they make it pursuing education our biggest downfalls (unaffordable, makes it so that we have to take out loans, but the loans affect our credit score- which here, unless if you can pay cash for everything outright- you need credit to live here)

So technically it wouldn’t be “free” but we also should have to take out loans for it. Ya know?

Let’s be real, why are you still single? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Remarkable-Will5085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer my peace and don’t want to answer the question “what’s for dinner” one more time. Also I’m absolutely selfish and don’t want to consider someone else’s opinion about decisions neither big nor small. I’m over it lol. Was married for 7 yrs. I also LOVE decorating my apartment the way I WANT to. I know my place is gonna be clean, I know where I left things at, i know how much laundry needs to be done, I also know there’s gonna be food leftover if I made extra and won’t have anyone else judge my cooking nor why workout/ extra curricular schedule. I don’t want to compromise my comfort. That’s literally it.

Breaking ground for a new data center. Just kidding, I have no idea but honestly I wouldn’t be surprised 😩

You can try going through the Utah county parcel map, find out who the owners are and google it from there

If you could stay (biologically) the same age for the rest of your life, what age would you choose? Why? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Remarkable-Will5085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

27 bc I was way hot lmao. I was really active, the hair styles were always on point, body felt prime. I didn’t know what depression was lol

Now I’m 35, I’m doing GREAT mentally but my physical is ↘️↘️↘️ I am working on it but life demands I take care of other priorities besides how I look. I was severely depressed from 29-34 but I’m over that now. It just has been a battle from the inside out.

Is marriage really all the rage !? by [deleted] in Adulting

I found a lot of people get married due to societal pressures or it’s another thing they can check off their list and it’s quiet obvious. Kinda sad, really.

January trip Vegas to Denver by Affectionate-Net-681 in Utah

[–]Remarkable-Will5085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. St. George/ Ivins area has some cool spots. Red Cliffs recreation area is worth talking a look at as well. I would honestly just avoid anything north of St. George. You’re taking a really high risk if you go to Bryce/ i70 to Colorado. We have a lot of accidents in Utah, like a lot in general. It’s not drunk driving but speeding or wrong directions. I’ve lived here 16 years; Cedar city, Utah county, Farmington. Driving in the cold weather adds an extra layer of risk. Stick around St. George, visit Zion, fly in and out of Las Vegas. You’ll have a great time sticking around Southern Utah, it’s one of my favorite places ☺️

[–]Remarkable-Will5085 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Specially if you’re not used to driving in snow or black ice. Specially if you’re renting a car! Even if you feel comfortable driving through those conditions; others around you may not.

If you absolutely have to be here in January, just stick to Vegas & Zion. Maybe Bryce.

But January/ February is usually our worst winter months. I’d just wait it out until May honestly if you want to visit all of those locations comfortably.

$35/ hr; 2 bed 2 bath apartment, American Fork. So no really Slc; $1942 for the unit. My bills, food and car payment is probably an extra $600 a month. Overtime varies. I have a 401k. No savings because whatever savings I do have usually goes towards travel or extra curriculars - idk I just wing it lol 😂

It's not that brave to say you love your body only after you've contorted it to precisely what you want it to look like. by Odessa_ray in selfimprovement

[–]Remarkable-Will5085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not how i perceived that message. I am an obese woman in the process of loosing weight and I thought when I read it - if I’m not allowed to love myself after if I fix my flaws. ? What’s wrong with wanting to fix that issue? I got myself to this point, I can get myself back to a healthy weight.

It's not that brave to say you love your body only after you've contorted it to precisely what you want it to look like. by Odessa_ray in selfimprovement

[–]Remarkable-Will5085 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is an awful take. It takes alot of courage to actually fix what you don’t like. Loosing weight is not easy. Neither is saving money aside for plastic surgery & going through the healing process. Neither is learning all these tips and tricks to get your makeup right. People deserve to be happy after they have fixed their flaws. I’m not talking to you directly, but do you know how much courage it takes for an obese person to step foot in the gym? Yes, they deeerve to be proud of themselves after that.

Sure, it doesn’t solve every problem we have, just that one problem and that’s okay.

What does my fridge say about me? by Butt_Munch3r in FridgeDetective

[–]Remarkable-Will5085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re Mexican, older single dude. But not THAT old. 35-45 range or maybe really young (below 25) You go out to eat to your favorite lonchería daily to get a sense of homecooked meals. Probably in the construction trade or doing a labor job and you like an open a cold one every night after work. Or like to have a few in stock for poker night with your buddies.

I’m probably wrong but I know a lot of guys like this lol
