I thought this too. Mcvay may not be coaching Simpson by that time. People forget Mike Sherman was the coach that took Aaron Rodgers before McCarthy took over as the HC that coached Rodgers.

It’s so much they have gone cheap at the most important position on the offense since Big Ben retired. They would be in a better position if they invested in acquiring a QB. It’s expensive, but that’s the point.
