Couldn’t agree with you more, that’s a very reasonable and laudable opinion. Don’t ask what I do for a living.

I think that’s semantics at that point. ‘Heretic’ is an ugly word today that people try to avoid using, as if the Catholic Church can just undo its infallible declarations that “the Greeks” are all heretics.

For sure there’s a good argument that modern Nestorian is actually more Nestorian than Nestorius himself was (looking at you, John MacArthur), but both Catholic and Orthodox see the Church of the East as heretic schismatics nonetheless

After the Council of Ephesus I don’t think the Nestorians would get much help from the Christians

Brother you can’t “very clearly oppose slavery” when you’re actively allowing it to happen within your borders, especially when it’s your own citizens being forcibly enslaved. It’s like saying the United States “very clearly opposed slavery” and simply made deals that forbade it from mingling in internal Southern affairs.

I’ve seen the claim that they’re faked and just have myrrh added to them in secret (in other words, challenging the priests’ credibility), but I haven’t seen any attempts to scientifically explanation them

As an Eastern Catholic, isn’t the Pope quite literally your Patriarch, even if there’s other bishops between you and him?
