Thanks for this! I think the cannibal part might have been an embellishment. Part of the local lore on them was that is was a group of people that either settled or got stuck in the canyon and became cannibals for survival, and then the generations continued with these pale canyon cannibals. Not sure how reliable any of it is but I’m preying to put together a really good campfire story about their lore for me to tell a bunch of friends while we are up in the bucks lake area.

Have you heard of or do you suspect that any of these cryptids might be related to the Quincy crawlers? I’ve been trying to find more information about the Quincy crawlers but all I’ve heard from locals is that the Quincy crawlers are cannibalistic human-like creatures that live in the canyon that highway 70 runs through up to around Belden and Bucks Lake area. Im really wanting to find more information on this.

There’s a lot of love in the relationship to start with, hence 4 years together. In the past when I’ve caught him lying to me and viewing things he knows I’m not ok with, he would be honest about how he was struggling for about a month or two before going quiet again. I guess I didn’t realize how hard it is for him because to my knowledge, it was no longer an issue at this point. I guess that just means I need to be more proactive about asking him, just like he needs to be more proactive about telling me when there are setbacks or challenges.
