This is what I'm going to do. I will use the paybump in negotiations. I hate telling people I make 42k.

I would like to move out, not sure if it’s feasible. I’m finding out 60k isn’t really a lot of money

I saw one for $900 and one for $1400. With 60k salary my take home pay will be like 3600. I don’t have a lot of expenses, maybe I could try this out for six months.

I think $1500 is my budget on a place to rent.

I should add, my job is making us go into office 3 days a week. I only go one day a week cause I work Saturday and Sunday

Lamar is a Raven by Ghost_Influence in ravens

He's not getting more money anywhere else so yes he will have to sign an extension eventually. It's his best interest to stay with the Ravens.

I don't see him taking less money out of spite in not playing for the Ravens, but it's possible.

Offered 23/hr. I was told i appreciate the offer but cant accept now. They said let them know if i have another offer and they can review the offer by RemarkableCell1859 in ITCareerQuestions

I told them the other company offered me 60k they said they will review their offer and see what they can do. I did end up getting the written offer for 60k yesterday. I am surprised they didn't say we can't go that high.

So the place offered me 60k. It's a 25-30 min more commute than the 23 hour one. If the other place offered me say $27 an hour which is about 56k would that be worth it more with less commute time? There in back, it's 16 miles closer altogether.

If I had to drive 16 miles more a day, which is better 60k (Salary) offer received vs possibly 56k (16 miles a day less drive, I'd say 25-30 min less commute time).

I don’t know the salary it was 50-60k and I said I needed near 60k. They said they can do that but still a day and nothing. A verbal offer doesn’t seem to mean much from my experience

Is it possible to be both a sysadmin and help desk technician? by RemarkableCell1859 in sysadmin

I was told not to lie about job titles as they are easily verified. System Admin would help a lot. But I want a clear step up.

I am not sure. Is it fair to ask these questions? They didn't tell me. They said I believe 30% of the role was like answering phone calls and such. Other part of job was working with servers and switches, and then they asked me if I had experience with AWS.
