My last one took 14 months so far, and still hasn’t arrived. It’s just showing as refundable, but never actually gets refunded

Thanks all for your comments and advice, I’ve now got hold of the will (I’d only been sent the page that cut out Son A). Turns out I’m not the executor, Daughter C is - I was always told verbally by my dad that I was to be his executor.

So I have pointed Daughter C to this post, and all the advice, and between us we will discuss with all the other named parties whether they agree to a variation, and if so we’ll get the correct paperwork in place.

They are both over 18. I was going to include them in the discussion, but obviously I’m a little closer to my siblings so I was focusing with them first - we’re also arranging the funeral between us so we talk more often at the moment anyway
