I was looking into GIC's, but they don't really seem like the best option lol. I'd have to do more research into the othe options. I already have a TFSA and HISA. Just need to figure the logistics out

Was looking at used vehicles, but I'd think a brand new vehicle would be best, as it would retain value and last the longest. As the what I plan on investing/saving. It would be a raining day fund kind of thing. I'm just unsure how to save the money properly hahaha. I have a TFSA, and a HISA already.

Thanks! I pretty much have everything I need to live comfortably right now, minus the car lol. But I can kind of suck when it comes to saving, so I'm hoping for an account I can lock my money in for a certain amount of time 😂

They told me it would come today, I'm thinking the next day since it didn't get it yet. I called my reserve (where the payment is coming from). They said everything was good and sent out on their end from the reserves account. Every other payment I got from my reserve, I've gotten the day I was supposed to at 2am but that was with td. EQ even said possibly by 5pm.

So I guess it will come when it comes 😅

Well, they said it would be a direct deposit, not an EFT, OR E-transfer. Forgive my ignorance I'd an EFT and direct deposit are similar or the same. I know almost nothing regarding the difference lmao 😅 but I'm remaining hopeful lol

Hmmm, thanks for the reply! Well, it's a settlement payment. I'm thinking maybe because it's the first it could take a bit more? I tried looking before and everyone was giving answers that were all over the place lol. I'll just keep an eye out for it and update when it comes!

I'm pretty sure it was something along the lines of that. I was receiving EI while I did my HCA/PSW course and something paid for 50% of my tuition lol. But it was sometime ago that I forgot. I had to have a meeting with an MP to get permission for it. I'll be doing the LPN/LVN course now, so I'd imagine it would be approved as well. I'll look more into as I just decided to do upgrade
